About the Lab

Video Coding and Processing Lab. is currently engaged in researching video, image, and media technologies that are aligned with international standards. With an eye toward social and technological changes, we are actively exploring advanced media options such as 4K/8K/16K videos and VR/AR related realistic videos, in order to anticipate the future of highly immersive media.

Our lab is committed to building greater competence in standardization, and we are eager to provide greater support toward the next media business. In doing so, we are opening doors to the future of media experiences.

Join Us

We are currently seeking passionate undergraduate / MS / PhD students who are interested in the development of media technology, as well as those who are passionate about activity on the international standardization.

  • For graduate students, VCP-Lab is able to cover all tuition fees through scholarships as well as RA/TA programs. We also offer support for additional living expenses incurred while participating in projects.
  • As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with global IT-tech companies on standardization projects, opening up exciting new possibilities for your future.
